Three people with different backgrounds, different ambitions, and different ideas of what it means to be successful.
Told through three distinct perspectives, Shooting Stars Over Hollywood Skies follows a rockstar, an aspiring actress, and a rising musician as they navigate their individual ambitions, relationships, and the darker realities of the entertainment industry. Their lives may intersect, but each has a story of their own to tell.
Each character offers a different perspective on Hollywood: the power that comes with success, the sacrifices required to achieve it, and the consequences of wanting something badly enough to risk everything.
Throughout the novel, readers experience the story through all three perspectives, discovering that even when people share the same world, they can experience it in entirely different ways.
So, before you step into their universe, I'd like to introduce you to the three characters who started it all.
Vincent Javier Uchis

At twenty-four years old, Vincent Javier Uchis has already accomplished more than most people could dream of in a lifetime.
A successful musician and businessman, Vincent has built a name for himself in an industry where reputation is everything and loyalty can be difficult to come by.
But his success wasn't handed to him.
Having spent much of his adolescence fighting for independence, Vincent learned early on that the only person he could truly depend on was himself. It's a belief that helped him build his career, but one that continues to complicate his personal relationships.
Confident, charismatic, and fiercely ambitious, Vincent has an undeniable ability to command attention. He's accustomed to being the person with the answers, the connections, and the power to make things happen.
However, beneath his carefully constructed image is a young man still carrying the weight of his past.
Vincent's story explores the complicated relationship between power and vulnerability. What happens when someone who has spent their entire life fighting for control encounters situations they can't control?
And more importantly, what happens when the very qualities that made someone successful begin to threaten everything they've built?
Of the three characters, Vincent was the first I created, and in many ways, the world of Shooting Stars began with him.
He's ambitious, deeply flawed, and sometimes difficult to understand. But behind his decisions is someone who has spent his entire life trying to create something bigger than himself.
His greatest strength: His determination to succeed and protect those around him, regardless of the obstacles in his way.
His greatest weakness: His inability to accept that some things are beyond his control.
What defines him: The belief that everything he's built...or anything he loves, is his responsibility to protect.
Estrella "Star" Rose Moreno
24 | The Pop Star | The Dreamer | The Girl Who Wants It All
At twenty-four, Estrella Rose Moreno has always known she was meant for something bigger.
Beautiful, talented, and determined to make a name for herself, Star represents the intoxicating promise of Hollywood: the possibility that one opportunity can change the course of your entire life.
But behind the glamour and excitement of pursuing her dreams is a young woman discovering that success doesn't always look the way she imagined.
Star is passionate, independent, and unapologetically ambitious. She knows what she wants out of life, but she's still learning what she's willing to sacrifice to get there.
Her journey explores the pressure of becoming someone in an industry that constantly tries to define who you should be.
As opportunities arise and relationships become increasingly complicated, Star finds herself confronting difficult questions about her identity, her ambitions, and the future she wants to create.
One of the things I love most about Star is that her confidence and vulnerability exist simultaneously.
She can be incredibly sure of herself one moment and completely uncertain the next. She's capable of making difficult decisions, but that doesn't mean she always makes the right ones.
And to me, that's what makes her human.
I think there's something particularly relatable about being young and feeling as though you're standing at the beginning of the rest of your life. You have these enormous dreams, a vision of who you want to become, and absolutely no guarantee that things will work out the way you planned.
Star embodies that uncertainty, along with the courage it takes to pursue those dreams anyway.
Her greatest strength: Her willingness to fight for the life she wants.
Her greatest weakness: Allowing her emotions to influence decisions that could change her future.
What defines her: The desire to become someone without losing herself along the way.
Jelena "Lena" Rey Reid
23 | The Actress | The Disco Diva | The Woman Finding Her Voice
At twenty-three, Jelena Rey Reid is stepping into an entertainment industry filled with possibilities.
But she's also discovering just how complicated those possibilities can become.
Lena is talented, intelligent, and determined to establish herself in an industry where opportunities are often controlled by people with far more influence than she possesses.
Unlike Vincent, who has already established his place in Hollywood, Lena is still navigating what it means to build a career in an environment where ambition and vulnerability often exist side by side.
Her story examines the difficult realities of pursuing success while learning to recognize the difference between opportunity and exploitation.
Throughout the novel, Lena encounters situations that challenge her understanding of trust, loyalty, and personal independence.
And while her journey is deeply connected to the people around her, it is ultimately her own.
What makes Lena particularly interesting to me is that her strength isn't always immediately apparent.
She's a character whose growth comes through experience, through difficult decisions, and through discovering that having a voice means very little if you're afraid to use it.
Lena's perspective introduces another side of the entertainment industry, one that exists beyond the flashing cameras and glamorous parties.
Her story is about finding the confidence to take ownership of her future, even when the path forward is uncertain.
Her greatest strength: Her resilience in the face of adversity.
Her greatest weakness: Her tendency to place trust in people who haven't earned it.
What defines her: Her determination to create a future on her own terms.
Three Perspectives. One Hollywood.
When I first began writing Shooting Stars Over Hollywood Skies, I knew I wanted to tell a story that explored more than one side of the entertainment industry.
Hollywood has always fascinated me.
The music, the fashion, the nightlife, the relationships, the glamour. There's something undeniably captivating about a world where seemingly ordinary people become larger-than-life figures.
But I've always been equally interested in what happens beyond the cameras.
What happens when the parties end? When the headlines disappear? When the people who seemingly have everything are left alone with their own thoughts?
Those were the questions that inspired this story.
Through Vincent, Star, and Lena, I wanted to explore three different experiences within the same industry.
Vincent represents the power that comes with achieving success. Star represents the ambition and uncertainty of pursuing it. Lena represents the vulnerability of finding your place within it.
Their stories intersect through friendships, professional relationships, personal conflicts, and romantic relationships (but also...NOT A THROUPLE BOOK lol), however each character has their own journey.
Their perspectives allow readers to see how one person's decisions can influence the lives of others, sometimes in ways they never anticipated.
Because in a world built on reputation, ambition, and influence, nobody's actions exist in isolation.
Welcome to Their Universe.
I've spent years developing these characters, watching their personalities evolve and their stories become increasingly complex.
In many ways, they've grown up alongside me.
What began as an idea for a screenplay eventually became a much larger story about ambition, identity, love, betrayal, and the complicated realities of growing into adulthood.
And while Vincent, Star, and Lena may live extraordinary lives, the emotions driving their decisions are, I believe, incredibly human.
They want to be successful. They want to be loved. They want to feel understood. And above all, they want to believe that the sacrifices they're making will eventually be worth it.
Sometimes they make the right decisions.
Sometimes they don't.
But that's what makes their stories worth telling.
I hope that as you get to know them, you'll find yourself celebrating their successes, questioning their decisions, and perhaps recognizing a little bit of yourself in their experiences.
After all, Shooting Stars Over Hollywood Skies isn't just a story about becoming famous.
It's a story about what happens when the life you've always dreamed of becomes your reality—and discovering whether it was everything you thought it would be.
